It was in the spring that the pictures in which a successful artist was beaten and robbed were posted on social media and widely disseminated.
According to Expressen, the police have received information that the artist was abducted by some 15 masked men who threatened him with a pistol, stabbed him and robbed him. Among other things, the perpetrators found jewelry and a Rolex watch.
Subsequently, it is suspected that they tried to blackmail the victim: if he did not pay millions, the images of the humiliation would leak on the internet.
Now another artist, one of the most famous in Sweden, has been arrested on suspicion of stamping for kidnapping, according to information from Expressen.
The artist has been detained in his absence since December 1 and was detained on New Year’s Eve at 11:00 p.m., according to documents filed with the district court. He has been assigned a defender and is currently in custody at the time of his arrest in Flemingsberg.
The alleged artist has documented connections to one of Stockholm’s most infamous criminal gangs.
The artist who was the object of the kidnapping did not want to participate in the police investigation. He has greeted his fans with the message that anyone can be kidnapped and beaten.
Several men have already been arrested, for probable cause on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery and aggravated extortion. According to information from Expressen, several of them are part of the leadership of the Vårbyn criminal network.
Now one of Sweden’s most famous artists is also suspected.
Expressen has spoken with the artist’s attorney, who does not want to comment.
