Tishko Ahmed has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Wilma Andersson, 17, in November last year.
Wilma Andersson was reported missing in Uddevalla and her body has not yet been found. In the apartment of 23-year-old Tishko Ahmed, her head was found in a suitcase in a closet.
Tishko Ahmed appealed the verdict and negotiations are currently taking place in the Court of Appeal. On Monday, it was the third of a total of four negotiations and then it was prosecutors Jim Westerberg and Shahrzad Rahimi to come forward.
– He has taken the life of a person who was not an adult in his own home. He will be sentenced to life in prison, Shahrzad Rahimi said during the hearing.
“Last week the family said goodbye”
After the prosecutors’ final argument, it was time for Robert Mjösen, who is the plaintiff’s assistant and represents Wilma’s family, to speak.
He began by uttering a few words from Wilma’s relatives.
– Last week, the family said goodbye with a funeral ceremony in Uddevalla, says Robert Mjösen.
He continued:
– We feel like we are back in November last year when the terrible happened. When Wilma was deprived of her life and her future in the most terrible way. Wilma deserves your peace and we deserve to know where she is somewhere.
The family: “Good funeral”
GT has been in contact with Wilma’s family through Daniel Brodin, who is Operations Manager for Volunteer Efforts in Crisis and Disaster (Fikk). Through him they greet:
– It was a beautiful, calm and peaceful funeral with the family and those closest to them. The family also wants to stop helping them bury all of Wilma and join future search efforts.
They also told Tishko Ahmed that her speech scheduled for Thursday, which she announced earlier, will not be as long as she would like.
Through his defender Peter Olsson, he wanted to speak for 25-30 minutes, but the president of the Court of Appeal said no to that and referred to “just a few minutes.”
Defender of Tishko Ahmed
Beatrice Rämsell, defense attorney for Tishko Ahmed, said at the beginning of the proceedings before the Court of Appeal that Tishko Ahmed should be fully acquitted.
– He denies having caused her death, having subjected her to violence, having caused her death by negligence. He also denies that he raped her body as signified by the district court’s verdict, he said at the time.
