Falkenberg: Hasse Eklund marches in protest

Falkenberg got off to a dream start against IFK Norrköping when John Chibuike scored after just two minutes when he cut after a long pitch.

But then Norrköping turned around during the first half with three (!) Penalty goals from Christoffer Nyman.

The first penalty came after a little push to the back from Henrik Castegren and when Christoffer Nyman ended a close encounter with Grégoire Amiot in the penalty area, referee Adam Ladebäck again aimed at the penalty spot.

Three penalties for Norrköping

The Falkenberg players seemed to be thinking the job was done and acted more defensively, simply waiting for the referee to blow the final whistle.

– This reaction from Eklund gossips a lot about his views, says commentator Niklas Jarelind on Dplay.

Eklund then returned to the bench and watched Nyman set his second penalty.

Shortly after the lead goal, Norrköping scored a slightly clearer penalty and took the lead at 3-1 as Nyman scored his third penalty. He admits during the break that the first two penalties were cheap and the expert Alexander Axén saw the referee in the Dplay studio.

– For the referee to do something like that in such an important match is not so good, I think, says Axén.

– That is also completely unbelievable. Look at Nyman, he doesn’t know what it’s about, Axén continues when he sees the second penalty.

“Afraid that I will drop it”

Axén thinks Hasse Eklund went out into the hall to calm down.

– He fears that he himself will be suspended because he loses it completely. He goes in, meets up, and comes out again.

In the second half, Abdulrazak Ishaq nodded 4-1 for Norrköping, which was also the final result and Hasse Eklund is not happy with the verdict when speaking to Dplay.

His team was really upset at half time.

– The first 14 minutes are dedicated to eliminating the players’ frustration. These are difficult situations, these are things that never punish us for ourselves. It’s easy to blow a penalty against Falkenberg. Unfortunately, many judges think so, says Eklund and continues:

– We must let go of frustration and focus on our own.

Crazy sentence:

Orlando City defender Rodrigo Schlegel became a big game hero after saving the decisive penalty in a playoff game against NYC this weekend.
