An explosion occurred early in the morning local time in downtown Nashville, USA Images from the site show a burning car and nearby buildings being damaged.
There’s no information yet on what’s behind the explosion, but film footage from the site shows brown smoke rising behind a building. Eyewitnesses have recounted how they felt the ground shaking in connection with an explosion.
According to a local television channel, it is a car that has exploded and the images in the film also show a vehicle catching fire on a street. Nearby buildings were damaged by the explosion.
The police bomb squad has been dispatched to the scene.
No injuries have yet been reported and the municipal transportation company is working to ensure that people are removed from the area.
A large number of rescue vehicles have been dispatched to the scene, but the fire appears to be limited to the vehicle as on Second Avenue near Broadway and Commerce Street.
