The alarm about a powerful explosion occurred at 9:25 p.m. Sunday night. Police, rescue services and an ambulance were dispatched to Danska vägen, where the blows should have been heard.
A woman living on the property. next door says he heard a “giant bang”:
– I was sitting and watching TV when a giant explosion was heard, so I jumped half a meter from the couch, she says.

The fire was extinguished by an individual. from a nearby restaurant who ran off with a fire extinguisher. Another witness who lives a block away also says that the explosion was very strong.
– I heard a real roar and immediately thought that now it has also sounded here, that what happened in other parts of the city now also happens where I live. We have been saved, says the witness.
There is no information yet on what could have caused the explosion.
– We are on the site and it is a van that has exploded, we still don’t know what happened, says Daniel Svensmark, alarm and control operator for the rescue service in Gothenburg.
Just before 10 p.m., there was no information that anyone had been injured.
