EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is giving an online press conference in Brussels on the status of the crown.
Everyone can and should contribute to the fight against the coronavirus, says European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, after she and her colleagues agreed on a new package of calls for member states.
These include better information sharing, faster testing, and the use of infection control applications. At the same time, an extension of the VAT exemption is proposed for the importation of medical equipment, as well as vaccines and test equipment.
– No one will be safe until everyone is safe, von der Leyen said at a short press conference in Brussels.
At the same time, he expects crown measures to continue for a long time in member states.
– There are many steps left before we see full light at the end of the tunnel. Christmas will be different this year, says von der Leyen.
