It was visiting Eskilstuna who took the lead in the semifinals when Loreta Kullashi made it 1-0 in the 25th minute, played by Felicia Rogic. Ten minutes later, however, it was tied and the team went into halftime at 1-1.
But two quick goals in the second half would allow Eskilstuna to play the semi-finals at home in relative safety. First, Kaisa Collin put it well 2-1 through a high shot over Umeå goalkeeper Agnes Granberg, who probably should have taken that ball. Kullashi was then brought down in the penalty area and Rogic shot 3-1 from the penalty spot.
There was still a bit of nerves when Alexandra Sandström cut back in the 89th minute, but Eskilstuna held out and also rose to 4-2 in extra time through Fanny Andersson. Once again, Rogic was the forward.
– As soon as we threaten them in depth, I go out a lot, today I was able to do two of those assists, says Rogic in C More.
But the victory may have been expensive. In the final minutes, Kullashi received a blow that forced the forward to change.
In the final, awaits the winner of Häcken and Rosengård, who meet in the second semi-final on Sunday.
– Big fun! I have never played a final before. No matter who we meet, I’ll watch the game tomorrow, says Rogic.
