Erik Berg and Carina Berg are expecting their second child.

Reveal both on social media Wednesday morning.

“Yes, it is a bit inconceivable but completely true, Otto. A person even smaller than you will soon come to us. We will be more!”, Writes Djurgårdsförsvararen on Instagram.

“Sweetheart. Welcome to us when you are ready to bake in the spring. We are four happy and powerfully pleasant family members who await you with much love and cuddles,” writes Carina Berg on Instagram.

Among the quick congratulations under the photo of Erik Berg feeding his son Otto are his teammates Kalle Holmberg, Magnus Eriksson and Aslak Fonn Witry.

Fought for the children

Erik Berg, 31, and Carina Berg, 42, reunited Otto on December 28, ten months ago.

The couple have previously been open about the struggle for the pregnancy, on their podcast Carina Berg has said that it took two years filled with “quite a few miscarriages and many, many tears.”

– It was very hard. It was especially hard to watch Carina feel bad about it too, but I felt the whole way through that we will make it through and if you have strong faith I think it will finally be resolved, says Erik Berg on After Five on TV4.

Back to the field

After being away for two months, Erik Berg is back in full training, he has been selected in Djurgården’s squad for the away game against Häcken on Wednesday night.

– It feels great, I feel mentally and physically prepared. It’s the worst thing you know as a footballer, being on the sidelines and walking around the gym … there is nothing worse, says Erik Berg.

It was in Helsingborg on August 30 that he struggled with a previous knee injury.

Erik Berg and Carina Berg met through a mutual friend and he bought an engagement ring after three months, they got married in Vemdalen in December 2018.

Carina Berg also has an eleven-year-old son, Holger Luuk, from her previous marriage to Kristian Luuk.
