Footballer Elin Rubensson, who is expecting her first child in a month, has suffered from a crown.
– The combination of very pregnant and crown is not very good, but I am glad that this has not come in two or three weeks, says the Kopparbergs Gothenburg midfielder.

When Kopparbergs Göteborg won the Swedish Championship gold last Saturday, Elin Rubensson was at home.
The 27-year-old is in waiting times, the birth of the child is estimated in a month and he has not played all season. Now he also had to cancel the celebration after the gold match with his teammates.
Elin Rubensson has covid-19 and has been isolated recently.
– I tested positive a week ago and I really don’t want to go down. I feel good, it was more difficult at first. It started with a fever one night and one day, but I don’t usually have a fever. Since then, it’s been like a real cold with a cough and a stuffy nose. And now I’m on day ten (this was Tuesday, red note) with no taste or smell, he tells Sportbladet.
What do the doctors say given that you are very pregnant?
– They are quite calm. For the sake of the child, there is no danger, but I have to do some additional checks. And I’m part of a study, they don’t have a lot of research on it, says Elin Rubensson.
She chooses to see it from the positive side. It would have been worse to have the virus near delivery and now she is soon healthy from the viral infection.
– It may not be so much fun to give birth when you have a crown, for the good of all. So, in a way, I’m glad I did it before he wants out. I’m in week 36 now, so there’s a month left, he says.
Do you have any concerns about childbirth and crown condition?
– No, no, I trust healthcare. I have been in contact a lot with medical care regarding the crown and pregnancy. They have such control and it will work.

The ambition of the national team player, who was part of the World Cup team that took bronze in 2019, is to return to the soccer field as soon as possible after giving birth.
He trained until the cold, but has been urged to slow down.
– I have missed football a lot and still do. It feels great to feel that unity is already there. I am very marked to start, I will only give birth to a small child, she says laughing.
This weekend, Elin Rubensson hopes to be healthy and to meet her teammates again.
– I am very happy for the team, I know how hard we have fought for this, says Elin Rubensson.
Why is this team the best in Sweden?
– We have been able to build on what we had before with our passing game and mobility. We have had a much larger squad, which has become necessary. I think that was crucial. Also, we play fast and offensive soccer.
