EK: Time for a change in HV71: give “Foppa” a chance at a higher chain

SHL is presented by:

Leksand did not have his first Marek Hrivik center. Neither is his best defender Matt Caito. Leksand also missed his fourth center Jon Knuts and previously Mattias Ritola.

Thus, Leksand was left without his point king Hrivik and much of his power play, which gave hill August Berg time as center and junior Erik Hedlund had to debut in the Leksand jersey.

Leksand has a confirmed crown drop in the squad and tonight they literally went and waited for responses from the others tested.

## It’s an uncomfortable situation at SHL, but medical teams are reportedly doing a solid job of keeping the contagion under control. I have a hard time assimilating the conversation about closing the SHL when it comes to a competition.

In any event, with the Leksandsspelarna gone, the HV71 received help from an unexpected direction to claim its first SHL home win. After five zero points on ice.

And of course it was a victory for HV. But how was it really? Team captain Simon Önerud, carefully staying ahead and scoring the 2-1 goal in the second half, got to his feet and was a bit embarrassed about his team’s play and his team’s lead after two periods.

Aside from ten minutes in the first period and a good third period after an early counterattack goal and 3-1, this was not HV71’s match.

It was a Leksand game focused on the reserve.

## Or rather, it was Johan Fransson’s party.

What a return the 35-year-old hill made! It got off to a bit of a rough start, but what can you ask for after an autumn completely without matches and with English that has seen its best days?

“Frallan” needed some changes to warm up from toe to toe, but then he played hockey as if he had played all fall in the Leksand chain of stars.

With a pirouette in the offensive zone, he made HV71 forward Linus Sandin look like a 35-year-old defender with stiff groins before he served Leksand’s Fredrik Forsberg the 1-1 goal.

## Johan Fransson was the best on the ice. He played more than 23 minutes. “Frallan” had TEN shots on target.

At Leksand, Peter Cehlarik and Carter Camper played again for around 25 minutes because they had to. The question is how long do they last?

But this chronicle will be about Fredrik Forsberg from HV71. You know the previous lesson.

For Fredrik Forsberg, in HV jersey number 56, he is one of SHL’s best scorers. When HV got the power play in the first period, it took him exactly 17 seconds to get exactly in phase so Alexander Bergström could give HV-Foppa the puck and so small.

## No time for reflection. Definitely. Thrust with the puck in Janne Juvonen’s box.

And I can’t help but think: Why isn’t Fredrik Forsberg getting more playtime on HV71? He played less than ten minutes against Leksand and still managed to get three pucks into goal.

Why don’t you get a chance to play on the first network with Tre Kronor duo Lias Andersson and Anton Wedin?

It could be a great success.

An alternative is to play against Forsberg alongside HV71’s strongest center Linus Fröberg and hottest forward Alexander Bergström, who had assists for all three of HV’s goals tonight.

Bergström has scored two goals and four assists in the last three games. It is at the top of the HV internal rating.

Fredrik Forsberg has scored seven goals in eleven games and is divided into four in SHL’s launch and second in HV’s internal scoring. Including the hat trick against Malmö, he has scored four goals and two assists in the last four.

Linus Fröberg is the best scorer for HV71.

## It’s time for Fredrik Forsberg to take a seat on one of HV71’s two main chains. He deserved it.

So neither:

Fredrik Forsberg – Lias Andersson – Anton Wedin

or

Fredrik Forsberg – Linus Fröberg – Alexander Bergström
