A smuggler was arrested after a dramatic boat hunt in the Mediterranean.

The hunt lasted five hours and the smugglers dumped drugs into the sea off the Spanish coast.

The police were able to seize two tons of hashish on the ship.

The gang’s plan was to drive the boat from Morocco to Valencia on the east coast of Spain, according to the Reuters news agency.

But despite the planning and the super-fast boat (with two 300-horsepower engines) it did not turn out as the five men had imagined.

Gold turned to sand and drugs got into trouble and were seized.

Everything was also captured on film.

The Spanish Customs and the Police carried out a joint operation and with a police boat and a police helicopter they found the track. The helicopter followed the smuggling league ship into the Mediterranean at high speed.

The wild hunt lasted five hours.

Eventually, the smugglers surrendered and could be arrested on the outskirts of Cartagena, in southeastern Spain.

“The police and customs detained five men in a joint operation. The men were in a boat and could be arrested after a hunt where they threw drugs overboard,” said the Spanish National Police in a statement.

Eventually 66 packages of hashish could be seized. A total of two tons.
