Ten people have been arrested following the murder of 47-year-old French teacher Samuel Paty on the outskirts of Paris on Friday. In connection with the police operation, the police also shot dead one person: the murderer Abdullakh Anzorov, 18, a refugee of Chechen origin.
Before being knocked down, he shouted “allahu akbar”, God is the greatest, according to French media. The murder is called a terrorist attack.

Days before the murder of Samuel Paty, a history teacher, he had given a lecture on freedom of expression, in which he showed an image of the prophet Muhammad in connection with the explanation of the terrorist attack against the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris in 2015.
– He told them that he would show them a photo and asked those who wanted to leave the classroom so they would not be upset or surprised, a parent told Franceinfo.
After the lesson, Paty received several denunciations and death threats, and was accused of being Islamophobic and racist. Then he was assassinated.
