The alarm about the first suspicious object, in Amiralsgatan, reached the police at 9:12 p.m. The police blocked the adjacent Västra Kattarpsvägen and Östra Farmvägen.
National bomb squads and technicians are on site.
– The object is on the street. It is motorists traveling on the highway who initially alerted about this, says Peter Martin, a police duty officer.
According to information from Kvällsposten, it is a box.
Two dangerous object alarms in Malmö
A couple of hours later, the next alarm came, according to information from Kvällsposten: another suspected danger object in Västra Kattarpsvägen, just a few hundred meters from the first one.
Even there it is cordoned off. Police bomb technicians will also examine that object when they have finished with the first one.
Recently, the police have received several alarms about suspicious objects in Malmö.
– There are similarities, you could say. But we stopped calling it a suspicious object at this point and let our bomb protection and technicians handle it, says Peter Martin.
