Donald Trump held his first major mass rally after the presidential election when he campaigned for senator in Georgia.
Before calling the Republican candidates to the stage, he seemed strangely unenthusiastic about being there.
– I don’t like doing this for others, he said.
Georgia’s January 5 reelection applies to two Senate seats. Republicans must win at least one of the races to maintain control of the main houses of Congress.
Donald Trump arrived at Valdosta airport on Air Force One with his wife Melania. He took the stage to give tailwinds to the two Republican candidates David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

Close to the audience when Trump held an election rally in Georgia.
But Trump spoke primarily about himself and his efforts as president, continuing to claim that he actually won the presidential election.
– These wavemaster states that we are discussing. I won them all big time. If he had lost, he would have been a very polite loser. I said I lost and went to Florida.
“I don’t like doing this for others”
During his four years as president, Trump has held countless campaign rallies, most notably during the October election campaign. From the Valdosta rostrum, however, he said, half jokingly and half seriously, that he would rather be in charge of his presidential duties than hold election rallies.
– I don’t like doing this for others. That means a lot of work.
Later in the speech, a video was shown from the stage where Democratic opponents in re-election were portrayed as left-wing extremists. After the movie, Trump joked about whether it was worth producing.
– You shouldn’t do this for them. It costs too much money.

Trump called the Republican candidates to the stage.
At the end of the next two-hour performance, Trump called David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler to the stage and then urged the audience to go vote:
– Let Georgia get robbed again and you will never recognize yourself in the mirror again.
Fight with the governor
Hours before the rally, Donald Trump had called Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and tried to get him to convene the local congress to name voters who would not vote for Joe Biden as the state’s winner in the presidential election.
However, Kemp refused and was the target of continued attacks from Trump both on Twitter and later from the rostrum.
