The now-disclosed bank account was not known to the public and shows that China is one of three countries, along with Great Britain and Ireland, where Trump has accounts abroad.
The account is in your business name and therefore does not appear in your public documents, writes the New York Times. According to the newspaper, the company paid just over 1.6 million SEK in taxes in China during the years 2013 to 2015.
According to a lawyer for Trump’s company, the account was opened in connection with one of them opening an office in China to try to do business in the country.

– No agreements, transactions or other commercial activities were made and since 2015 the office has been inactive. Although the bank account remains open, it has never been used for any other purpose, the lawyer told the New York Times.
According to the newspaper, it is not possible to determine on the basis of the statements how much money has passed through the account.
The revelation comes at a time when China has become one of the hot topics in the presidential election. Donald Trump believes his opponent Joe Biden has been too lax with China and said his son Hunter Biden’s business in the country should be investigated.
