Donald Trump barricades himself in the White House ahead of US elections

Until well into the morning of Election Day, workers outside the White House are working to erect another riot fence. Hotels, restaurants, and shops have new wooden boards; many are concerned that dissatisfied voters will take to the streets on Election Day and the next few days in relation to the upcoming election results.

– It feels uncomfortable. It’s the day before the election and you can’t even get a glimpse of the White House, everything is behind bars and fences, says Isabella Rambhacus, 21, who drove here from Florida with two coworkers.

She continues:

– This is the first time that I am going to vote and I want to celebrate, this should be a moment of joy. Not that it should look and feel like this, with helicopters and police everywhere. It gives a strange feeling.

“Trump encourages violence”

His colleague T’mara says that he voted by mail but that his vote was declared invalid.

– It feels unfair that my vote does not count.

One of the workers, Baron, who is putting up the riot fence around the White House, says he would rather not have been there.

– But I need the money. As a black American, he endures. Trump encourages violence against people like me, against blacks. I feel like a traitor, a scam. As if he was defending her stronger, a bully.

If Joe Biden wins, there will be “no big difference”

The baron believes that Donald Trump will win the presidential election.

– But even if Biden won, I don’t think there would be such a big difference. I think the United States will fall, it is inevitable. With Trump in power, I expect a race war, says Baron.

During the Black Lives Matter demonstrations this summer, Donald Trump was forced by the Secret Service to be evacuated by the Secret Service to the White House bunker because the rushed activists were outside and the security service assessed that there was a risk of assault.

This is the type of situation you are preparing for.

The bunker in question must be able to support a jet plane crashing into the building above.

– I’m surprised to see the preparations, but I understand. There are those who are willing to destroy, says Laora Coghlan, 48.

He recently received US citizenship and is voting for Republicans for the first time.

She is supported by her husband:

– I don’t know if it’s an exaggerated reaction, we’ll find out later. But I’ve never seen DC so entrenched, says 54-year-old Brian Coghlan.

Nearly 100 million Americans have already voted early, and according to national polls, Biden leads Trump by about 10 percentage points, according to the Washington Post.
