I feel better and will soon be back full, greets the President of the United States, Donald Trump, from the hospital where he is being treated for covid-19.
He also defends his decision not to quarantine sooner.

– When I got here, I didn’t feel so good. I feel much better now and we are working hard to get back on the right track, says the president in a shirt and jacket but no tie on a desk at Walter Reed Military Hospital.
He goes on to say that he thinks he will be back soon, but that the next few days are critical.
“Fulfill your mission”
White House physician Sean Conley also said in a statement that the president is making progress. He is cautiously optimistic about Trump’s health, although the president is not in danger yet.
“He spent most of the afternoon on duty and has been in the hospital ward without any problems,” the statement said, adding that Trump had received a second dose of the antiviral drug remdesivir.
As early as Saturday morning local time, Trump’s doctors said that the president’s condition had improved and that he was talking about returning to the White House. But soon after, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows gave a much grimmer picture, according to Reuters.
– The president’s values during the last 24 hours have been very worrying and the next 48 hours will be critical when it comes to his care. We are still clearly not on the path to full recovery, he said at the time.
However, just hours later, Meadows told Reuters that Trump was “very well” and that “doctors were very happy with his values.”
“I had no choice”
The president, who has been criticized for not being immediately quarantined when he learned that people close to him might have been infected, is also trying to defend his behavior in the film clip.
– I had no choice, I just didn’t want to stay in the White House. They gave me that option: “Stay in the White House, lock yourself in, don’t go, or go to the Oval room. Just stay upstairs and don’t meet anyone, don’t talk to people and settle in.” But I can’t do that, he says.
– This is the United States, the best country in the world and the most powerful country in the world. I can’t lock myself in an upstairs room. We have problems to deal with, as leaders you must be able to deal with the problems. No great leader would have done that, continues the president.
