Elite soldier Deniz Arda has been missing from his home in central Stockholm since November 13.
On Wednesday, the police announced that the disappearance is now being investigated as a kidnapping.

A finding was made on Wednesday that may be related to the disappearance of Deniz Arda, who was informed in a Facebook group about the disappearance.
In an area between Lida Friluftsgård and the Botkyrka golf course in the Sörmlandsleden, a green reflective tape, of the type used by the Armed Forces, was found and handed over to the police.
– It’s very interesting. Personally I don’t know the reflex band, but I do know some other phenomena that we have examined, says Ola Österling.
The last sign of Deniz Arda’s life was a chat he had with some colleagues on November 13.
The elite soldier then announced that he would go for a five mile run, since then he has disappeared without a trace.
This is despite extensive search efforts by the Rescue Service, the police, the Armed Forces and Missing Persons.
Deniz Arda’s exercise watch may be the hottest track
In the house of the 31-year-old, his wallet and his cell phone were left.
What was not left was Deniz Arda’s Garmin exercise watch, which he wore during the racing rounds.
Now it can be one of the most popular tracks for the elite soldier, since the watch has GPS.
– There they have contacted the manufacturer to carry out a GPS search. I don’t know how the search went, says Ola Österling, who says that a team of investigators and a number of specialized functions have been working since Wednesday of last week to get to the bottom of the disappearance.

– I cannot confirm the name of any cooperating authority, but we cooperated with other authorities in this investigation and we have done so during the investigation, says Ola Österling.
