It was an excellent match when Halmstad faced Degerfors. Both teams had, before the game, 31 points.

Guest Degerfors started the meeting with several good opportunities. Then came Ferhad Ayaz, who circled around Malkolm Nilsson and threw the ball away, but the experienced Andreas Johansson had time in the middle and cleared the ball.

Degerfors kept pushing and after just over half an hour of play, the goal came too.

“Very disappointed”

Villiam Dahlström led 1-0 after a nice contribution from Erik Lindell. The goal was Dahlström’s seventh this season.

– It is good that we are 1-0 but we deserve more. We played well and we have a couple of chances where we could have done better, says Dahlström at Dplay after the first half.

– Very disappointed with the way we play. We are just running after them. They can do whatever they want. We have to push higher. They play well and we play poorly, says Dusan Djuric.

In the second half, the visitors rose to 2-0 as Villiam Dahlström once again kept an eye out and scored his second goal of the night. Minutes later, Johan Bertilsson made it 3-0.

Degerfors league leader

With a quarter of the game to go, the home team brought the game to life when Rasmus Wiedesheim-Paul reduced it to 3-1 with a penalty.

Halmstad then pushed for another goal, but never came close. Instead, José Segura put Bonilla 4-1 on the last kick of the game. In this way, it rises in the Superettan single league lead with 34 points after 16 games. Halmstad remains in second place, with 31 points after so many games played.

– We have been good to recover after a bad performance. We talked about pushing them harder and then we were more skilled with the ball. We were sharper and we are in control of the game. In the end, we won fairly, says Johan Bertilsson.
