Sweden should follow the example of Finland and ban racist and Nazi organizations, write representatives of four Jewish organizations on the Svenska Dagbladet debate page.
Since the Finnish ban was upheld by the country’s supreme court, “right-wing extremist actions have almost completely ceased in Finland, making the Jewish minority feel more secure,” write the four, representing Congress. World Jewry and the Central Jewish Council in Sweden.
The Swedish government has commissioned an investigation into whether racist organizations should be banned. The results of the investigation will be presented in February next year.
