The longing to get back on stage made the decision to act obvious.
– There are ideas that sting me. I have a nice song and a concept that I like. Where should I show this, if not on Sweden’s biggest entertainment show? he says.

Danny Saucedo says he was first offered to host the Melodifestivalen. But at the content meeting in September, he removed the patch in front of, among others, Christer Björkman.
– I said: “You may not want to do this. I want to compete. “They just tanned. I don’t know if at first they thought I was joking. But I said I was serious and I didn’t want to lead but wanted to compete. They just” Damn, that’s fun. “
Together with Karl-Johan Råsmark, Danny Saucedo has written the song “Dandi dans”.

He’s a veteran in the context of Mello. In 2009 he participated with the EMD group. In both 2011 and 2012, he came second after Eric Saade and Loreen respectively. In 2013 he hosted alongside Gina Dirawi and in 2016 he wrote Molly Sandén’s contribution “Youniverse.”
Wants to show how good it is
Danny Saucedo ranked second strongly. But the will to win is not as widespread this time.
– I hope to show that I have a good number, a good concept. Location is not important, but it was then. I’m not here to pinch first place, my focus is to show how damn good I am. There is probably no one to tap my fingers for the artistic expression I have, and I think it’s fun to show my ideas. I have done so many things in the past for the wrong reasons in my life, out of frustration and anger.
As for many other artists, the year has been hard. The Corona Pandemic forced Danny Saucedo to cancel the grand arena tour this spring.
– I’ve been a bit in the studio, a lot in the field. Somewhere I have thought that it should be creative, that it should get out a lot, but it hasn’t. I have reflected a lot. I asked some questions about what I want.
Has something occurred to you?
– Maybe I have landed where I should take more time for myself. Try to find routines. It has been difficult during this time. Right jaw, sleep well, meditate well and exercise. After that, the day is an open book. Otherwise it’s just a couch and Netflix.
