On New Year’s Eve, Malmö police asked for advice after several reports that dog owners had found pieces of meat and bread filled with dangerous objects, such as glass.
Since then it has continued. On Thursday, Kvällsposten reported that a dog owner found chicken thighs with nails pressed in when she was resting her dogs.
And last Friday it was time again. The owner of a dog, Alexandra Alvlilja, found small round pieces of bread filled with broken glass in Hantverkaregatan in central Malmö.
– I chose 25 pieces, they were along the whole street, says Alexandra Alvlilja to SVT Nyheter Skåne.
The police have produced several reports of alleged crimes. Among other things, several cases of animal cruelty and attempted vandalism.
– We collect the information that is available. Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to move on at the moment, Evelina Olsson, press spokeswoman for the Southern Police Region, tells TT.
The only thing the police have are “the real buns”, Evelina Olsson continues, that is, the pieces of bread found in Malmö.
– But it’s very interesting with witness statements. So we encourage people to get in touch if they see something.
