“It’s just a little party.” Neymar has been criticized for his New Years celebrations in Brazil. Stock Photography.
Neymar intends to celebrate the new year in style. But after the authorities learned of the New Year’s plans, the soccer star must reduce the number of guests, from 500 to 150.
Brazil is the country in the world that has had the second highest number of deaths from covid-19, almost 200,000. In the United States alone, several people have died from the disease.
This means that many in Brazil raised their eyebrows when information about Neymar’s New Year’s Eve party was revealed in a newspaper this weekend. The soccer star first wanted to invite 500 people to a multi-day party in Magaratiba, 100 kilometers south of Rio de Janeiro.
Following the criticism, the organizer of the PSG star party has decided to reduce the number of guests to 150 and also promises to adopt the recommendations that exist to reduce the risk of spreading the infection.
“The event will be organized in accordance with the rules prescribed by the authorities,” the company wrote in a press release.
The individual has been given permission to arrange, but neither Neymar nor the local authorities have commented on the information.
