The number of infections is increasing and the spread is expected to continue in the coming months.
This is stated by the Stockholm County Board of Directors in a new report on the status of the crown.
4,762 new cases of covid-19 have been identified in the last four days.
The county governing council’s overall assessment is that covid-19 cases in Stockholm continue to increase without slowing down. The region predicts a relatively large spread of the infection in society in the coming months, according to a recent report.
“The infection occurs in all age groups and in all parts of the county,” the report says.
The region is also experiencing a clear increase in the number of people treated in hospitals and intensive care. Many with more severe covid symptoms go to emergency rooms and pressure is high in all emergency hospitals, the report says.
Three county hospitals operate on a personal basis: St. Göran Hospital, Danderyd Hospital and Södertälje Hospital. Södersjukhuset is working in reinforcement mode.
During week 45, 42,000 tests were analyzed, of which 20 percent were positive, representing a marked increase.
