The crown crisis affects most companies, individuals, and associations, and Köping Stars is no exception. After a successful second season at Basketligan Herr with Christer “Chribba” Sjögren as sports manager, it became clear on Thursday that the club and Sjögren are on different paths.
– Due to budget cuts next season, this means Christer “Chribba” Sjögren today makes his last day as sports manager at Köping Stars. The past season has been very successful and Chribba, with his great knowledge of basketball and professionalism, has been an important cog for us. It has added a lot of insights that we will bring with us into the future, ”says Stefan Ståhlmalm, board member, in a press release.
– Who knows, our paths may cross in the future, but until then we thank you for the wonderful season and wish Chribba all the luck and success. The new sports team can take what Chribba has been involved in and create. We have some news about the team that we hope to present in the near future ”, concludes Ståhlmalm.
In the press release, Sjögren also states:
– It has been an incredibly fun and successful season! I have been impressed by all the fantastic people within the club who have been a huge part of the success and all the wonderful fans who filled KB in every game at home. I wish the club good luck next season and in the future!
Tomas Bandh takes Sjögren’s place in the sports group, and together with Panagiotis “Jotti” Nikolaidis and Stefan Ståhlmalm they will continue working towards the next season.
