An employee of an LSS home in North Halland pushed one of the residents with autism against a bed with the help of a duffel bag, which he then sat on.

The incident, which took place in the fall of 2018, could be revealed through a recording from a secret surveillance team. The case has received attention, among other things, in Assignment review, writes SVT Väst.

The man was charged and now the verdict has been handed down. The Varberg District Court sentenced the 25-year-old caretaker of harassment to a suspended sentence and to pay SEK 15,000 in damages. The ruling indicates that the court considers that the resident has found himself in a vulnerable situation due to his disability.

After the incident, the caregiver lost his job at the residence and the court believes that there is little risk that he will be guilty of a continuing crime, for which he is sentenced to a suspended sentence. According to the court, the penalty for the act is two months in prison.
