Confirmed: Then the Allsvenskan and Superettan begin

As is well known, the corona pandemic postponed the football premiere. It was not until June that the balls could start rolling in the stadiums in Sweden.

In 2020, many, on many different levels, have probably expected 2021 to be a slightly more normal year.

Now comes a message that is a small step in that direction. Previously, GP has been able to inform that the proposal has been that the Allsvenskan and the Superettan start the weekend of April 10-11.

– It will be a long season if everything happens, it is SvFF who decides which one we can take as a piece of cake. The proposal we have put forward is based on our playing eight rounds in the Allsvenskan before the European Championship and 22 after, said Mats Enquist, president of Sef.

He also said they wanted as many games as possible this fall, all in the hope that as many spectators as possible would be allowed in.

– Yes, of course we want to win as much time as possible. But our hope is to have the opportunity to attract an audience already at the beginning of the season. I will never stop hoping for that.

Confirmed: Allsvenskan premiere in April

This is now confirmed by the Swedish Elite Football organization of interest on their website.

Furthermore, it is announced that the final rounds of Allsvenskan and Superettan will be played on December 5 and November 27, respectively.

“Work on developing a game schedule and game schedule for Allsvenskan and Superettan is beginning now. That work is expected to be completed in January,” they write on their website.
