Dalarna care association president Marion Vaeggemose urges cottage owners to think twice about whether they really need to go to Sälenfjällen during the New Year.
– I understand that the owners want to manage it and that there is economy in it. But as a citizen, you have to think: Should I really go up just because it’s open? You have to think twice.

In the Skistar ski resorts in Sälen, Vemdalen and Åre, skiers are encouraged to maintain “a club-length distance”.
In addition to après ski and closed nightclubs, open-air tents will reduce pressure in restaurants, which have table reservations. Ski rental and ski pass purchase can be done digitally and the number of customers is limited at the rental points and heated cabins. – We have taken the measures we can take, in dialogue with the Swedish Public Health Agency and the infection control doctors. From that perspective, it feels good. So I hope everyone takes care. Around 30 by Skistars Sälen employees have been isolated after “some” tested positive for COVID-19. They have been in quarantine for seven days.
