Coco Moodysson betrays her promise and the result is beautiful

Coco Moodysson portrays creative anxiety and fear of life in “Dark album”
I read the first serial album of my (adult) life and I think of the book of Ruth in the Old Testament. “Don’t force me to abandon you … Wherever you go, I go too, and where you stay, I stay,” Ruth pledges allegiance to Noomi, in what may be the strangest and strongest story in literature about the relationship between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law: Your people are my people and your God is my God. Where you die, I want to die, and there I want to be buried, ”says Ruth as she separates herself from the world as she feels it, leaving everything to follow Noomi wherever she goes, with a devotion that would have required explanations about she was not exactly biblical.
