Retail chain Clas Ohlson announces that Kristofer Tonström will be the new CEO after Lotta Lyrå, who announced in June that he would be leaving the company. Tonström recently arrived from a position as CEO of fashion company Filippa K and will take office on March 9, 2021.
“At Kristofer, we have a CEO with focused leadership who comes with a lot of energy and high ambitions to further develop Clas Ohlson. I look forward to our future collaboration,” says Kenneth Bengtsson, Chairman of the Board of Clas Ohlson in a press release.
At the same time, the company reports a pre-tax profit increase of SEK 150 million for the period from May 1 to July 31, the first quarter of the company’s interrupted financial year. This can be compared to a profit of 62.7 million in the corresponding period last year.
At the same time, the company’s total sales amounted to SEK 2,074 million, compared to SEK 2,044 million during the same period in 2019.
