In Wednesday’s Allocation Review section, it is revealed that construction company Peab provided the Social Democrats of the Sigtuna municipality, where Anders Sandén previously sat as the top politician, with polling stations and election posters in various elections. At the same time, Peab received the majority of the construction projects in the municipality.
In the spring of 2002-2013, he was chairman of the Sigtuna municipal council for the Social Democrats. During that period, Peab received many assignments from the municipality. The revelation has sparked reactions.
“Must have everything”
– This is difficult for the municipality of Åmål and also for Anders. Of course we take this seriously, but you have to have everything in it to be able to move forward with it, says Michael Karlsson, referring to Part Two of the Assignment Review that will air next week.
Does this have any consequence?
– I have to have everything, so I need to meet with my party, my majority group, I want discussions with the entire municipal council where together we can see what consequences this will have in the short and long term. But I also want to sit down and chat with Anders after show two, he says.
Anders Sandén denies having made mistakes, and claims that neither he nor the party were sponsored in any way by Peab.
– I have no reason to believe that we did not do the right thing for us, he previously told SVT.
