Strömsund Municipality pays the December salary earlier to reduce congestion in Christmas shops.
The municipality of Strömsund will pay the December salary two days ahead of schedule to reduce the risk of the spread of covid-19, reports P4 Jämtland.
The municipality writes on its website that the approximately 2,600 people who are paid by the municipality will receive their salary on December 21, instead of what was planned on December 23, in an attempt to help spread the word about the Christmas trade.
“We are constantly reviewing what measures we can implement to reduce the risk of spreading the infection. With a salary payment a little earlier, we create the conditions for a more secure Christmas trade, which is valuable for both our companies and residents,” he says city director Anneli Svensson in a comment about the municipality. website.
