Anders Christiansen sat in the locker room and celebrated the victory.

Then the companions arrived and ruined the atmosphere.

– I did not know anything! I was surprised when I heard that we had lost. That is unacceptable. This year’s heist, says the Dane after MFF lost 2-0 to 2-3 in eight minutes.

He is a slightly confused team captain who meets the press after the game. It has its natural explanation. With just over a quarter of an hour to play, Anders Christiansen retired injured and thus missed this year’s Allsvenskan collapse.

In eight minutes, Djurgården converted from 0-2 to 3-2 and stole all three points. A completely unlikely twist that Anders Christiansen had no idea about.

– I didn’t see the end. I was in the locker room and I missed the last quarter. Then the boys came and said we had lost. I did not know anything!

“I was shocked”

What were you thinking then?

– I was completely surprised. We were in full control for 75 minutes. Perhaps the best effort of this year. We have probably never had such control. It was a show of power on our part, says Christiansen and sums up the sentiment:

– This was this year’s robbery. But he who laughs last laughs better in that case.

“Unacceptable”

Jesper Karlström did not share the Dane’s opinion.

– I can’t agree with that. There are probably other games that have been worse. I think it was pretty even. We had more energy and we really gave it our all. It’s not that they dominate and play world football, so it’s this year’s steal, I don’t agree at all. Count the 90 minutes.

Although Christiansen needed a suture, the injury is not serious and he can play the next game. Of course, he is saddened by the loss.

– It is unacceptable to lose when we have that control.

Toivonen: “Juniormisstag”

His teammate Ola Toivonen, who thought he had decided the match with his two goals, was deeply disappointed with the end of the team’s match.

– It’s a shame on our part. We give away the first corner in which they score, the second counter-attack corner after their goal. After 2-2, it’s a collapsing house of cards, a wall that also completely collapses. Hard to balance that, check for 80 minutes, then one goal can give the other team so much air. Soccer can be cruel at times, he says and concludes:

– It will be a minor mistake. Two corners in a row, which we do not learn after the first but which is repeated in a minute. So bitter.
