For some time now, former national team player Christian “Chippen” Wilhelmsson has lived in Dubai, and there is nothing to be done there except to land on the hook when he goes fishing.
He is very aware of that now.
On Instagram, “Chippen” Wilhelmsson now recounts when a fishing trip ended with a hospital visit after he was stung by a stingray.
He says he was going down to the beach to fish when the life-threatening animal got stuck on the hook, of which he was well aware.
“But for me, they are just stories and nothing that affects me”, he writes.

“The chip” on pain: “The worst thing I felt”
The “chip” then decided to try to remove the hook from the stingray’s mouth, which was a struggle in itself as the coat sizzled a lot. However, he succeeded.
But when the rock was going to return to the sea, the accident was imminent.
The cursed tail dug into my arm. It went in about two inches and released its venom. And I’m just saying, don’t worry about a streak. The pain of that poison …. I can’t describe it. It is by far the worst pain I have ever felt in my entire life. “, he writes.

I had to go to the hospital
Like I said, it is not a fish to play with. The famous television profile Steve Irwin died in 2006 after being stung by a stingray.
Fortunately, things did not go so badly for “Chippen” that he had to immediately seek medical attention, where he received pain relievers.
“When two different painkiller drops didn’t work, they pulled out the strongest drop in the entire hospital and believe it or not, but the pain didn’t go away anyway. So I decided to stay in the hospital, not for observation, but to control the pain.“, He writes.
