A child was hit by a motorist in a courtyard in Hovsjö on Monday afternoon. The boy was taken to the hospital by ambulance helicopter. The damage situation is currently unknown.
It was shortly before 3pm on Monday that the police were alerted to the accident in Hovsjö in the municipality of Södertälje. The situation of the battered child’s injury is unclear at this time.
The police write on their website that the crash site is a yard. It is now cordoned off and interrogations are underway with the driver involved. The car in question will be impounded and examined by technicians.
The police are also looking after any witnesses to the incident knocking on a door in the area.
A preliminary investigation into gross negligence in traffic and serious causes of bodily injury has been launched.
