Carola Häggkvist honors Easter by releasing the new single “Who Of Us Understood” on Good Friday, created together with Norwegian producer Erik Hillestad.
It is the first song released from the music project the duo has worked on for ten years.
– You can listen to these songs throughout the year, but they work to sing during the Easter Fair or listen while they paint the Easter eggs. It is a slightly more moving show, which takes us from the Thursday of court to the Ascension of Christ. I want music to make people feel calm, peaceful, like a warm mantle of love that is put on their hearts, she says.
It’s a busy launch weekend, Carola will sing her new song on TV4’s “News Morning” and “The Star of the Stars”. He also participates in “Music Sessions” on Viaplay and in a digital charity concert for BRIS.
I have a new family with Amadeus’s girlfriend
But the popular artist also takes the time to spend and celebrate Easter with his immediate family. They dined together, and on Thursday Carola dined with her daughter Zoe, her son Amadeus, her girlfriend, and her mother.
Amadeus Sögaard has inherited the musical talent from his mother, but he is also a skilled soccer player. He recently returned to the Bromma men’s men’s team, and the burgeoning love life for the 22-year-old is flourishing privately.
Carola is not only happy that the son has found love, she has also brought new friends. Today, the two families celebrate the holidays together.
– We dined as a family with my newly discovered girlfriend, who is the mother of Amadeus’ girlfriend. They are the girl and Amadeus, says Carola with a smile.
What is it like to have the role of mother-in-law?
– It is fun! It is a bonus in life, it just gets better and better over the years. I have happy children and Amadeus has found such a good girl. It makes me happy
Have daily contact with Jimmy
Last year, Carola told her that she is single after a few years of relationship with musician Jimmy Källqvist, 49.
Carola continues to live single, but her hope is to one day land in ambiguity.
– yes I think this is a good idea. No less important for children, it’s more comfortable for them to feel like there are two, she says.
But Jimmy Källqvist has not disappeared from the life of Carola or her children. They still live close to each other in the castle town of Steninge and are often seen, both in professional and private settings.
– Jimmy and I have a great contact, we basically listen every day and Zoe greets him on the phone. He works at his house here very close, he comes and drinks coffee and we talk and talk, she says.
How have you managed to maintain your friendship after ending up as a loving couple?
– We had a friendship before we became a couple, help. Before we were colleagues, so we knew each other and we know that we will meet. Zoe also had a lot of time with him. There is no reason not to continue the relationship, but we are no longer romantic with each other.
Not everyone can make the transition.
– For some who finish, it can be too difficult and heartbreaking. It will probably be a little difficult and more difficult when any of us meet someone new, which I have not done. I have not tried either.
– It is good to have one for an adult who, at least at this time, belongs to the family. It is cozy!
