The prince and princess show milder flu symptoms, but “feel fine under the circumstances,” Kungahuset writes on his website.
The King, Queen, Victoria and Prince Daniel are included in the infection monitoring and will also be evaluated.
– The reason for this is that the family members met last Friday, when it was a funeral of the queen’s brother. Then they were in the same church room, says Margareta Thorgren, court information manager for Aftonbladet.
Located in the same room as the church
At the funeral, which was for the queen’s brother, Walther Sommerlath, the court took several precautions, says Margareta Thorgren of Aftonbladet.
– Even though there were less than ten people, they were still in the same church room for a short time. Before this little family funeral, everyone got tested, last Friday, and then the tests came back negative. Huge security measures have been taken with that funeral, says Margareta Thorgren.
For much of the pandemic, the king and queen have been isolated in Stenhammar Castle.
The rest of the royal family have also adapted to the pandemic in various ways. Crown Princess and Prince Daniel have largely worked from home at Haga Castle.
Volunteering during the crisis
The prince and princess have been noted for their work during the pandemic.
Princess Sofia has worked as a support staff in the room during the covid-19 pandemic.
Carl Philip also moved and took a job in the Armed Forces, coordinating support for society during the crown crisis.
During a visit to Karolinska Hospital in October, King and Queen Silvia asked why mouth guards are not used in Sweden.
