A car went off the road this morning and crashed into a bike path in Halmstad.
A woman in her 65s was taken to the hospital and suspected of drunk driving.
– Luckily, there was no one on the bike path. Then it could have gone wrong, says Peter Adlersson, a police spokesman.
A car ran off the road and rolled onto a bike path on Wrangelsgatan in central Halmstad. The car was on the roof when the rescue service arrived at the scene.
– She is a 65-year-old woman. She has been taken to hospital and the injury situation is unclear. We are there now and will conduct questioning and testing when we suspect drunk driving, says Peter Adlersson, press spokesman for the West Police Region.
Police, rescue services and an ambulance were called to the scene shortly before 6.30. No outside person should have been injured in connection with the accident.
– Fortunately, there was no one on the bike path at the time. Then it could have gone wrong, he says.
