The United States Congress building in Washington DC was closed after a vehicle collided with two police officers in the area, Capitol Police wrote on Twitter.
A vehicle collided with two police officers from the congress building force. The incident must have occurred along Constitution Avenue. A suspect has been arrested. All those involved have been taken to hospital, police write on Twitter.
Several streets and office buildings around the Capitol are closed and there is a large police force in the area.
