In June, a married couple started arguing in a Svalöv apartment in Skåne.
According to the indictment, it is a 32-year-old man who asked his wife to get up in the morning and prepare breakfast for him and the family.
She didn’t want to do that. So she decided to resort to violence, according to suspicion.
“NN has abused NN by kicking her in the face, hitting her on the arm with an electrical cord and hitting her with an open hand on the head, face and arms,” Deputy Prosecutor Nina Bengtsson writes in the indictment.
Released pending processing
The battered woman told a friend about the incident the same day and then called police, writes Helsingborgs Dagblad.
In the interrogation with the abused woman, she describes a relationship in which she generally feels comfortable with her husband and does what he asks and wants.
The man was subsequently arrested at his apartment and suspected of aggravated battery because he was deemed to have been particularly ruthless.
The man was later released pending a decision on the charges.
Denies the crime
The man denies the crime and in police questioning has been incomprehensible to the accusations and claims that the dispute only consisted of him and his wife pushing each other.
At the same time, he says that it is he who makes breakfast in the family.
He has no explanation for the injuries on his wife’s body.
The trial will begin in November.
