After being discharged from the hospital on Sunday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered a speech via video link thanking healthcare staff.
It is not yet clear when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was released from the hospital last Sunday, will be able to resume his work. Johnson will follow his doctor’s advice at the time, according to his spokesman, who does not want to discuss how long recovery can take.
“He left the hospital as late as yesterday and the decisions he makes when he returns to government work will be based on the advice of his medical team,” the spokesperson said.
Johnson, 55, announced on March 27 that he had tested positive for covid-19. He then isolated himself in the private department of his 10 Downing Street office in London and continued to lead government work from there.
But on April 5 he was admitted to St Thomas Hospital in London with a fever and cough. The next day he was transferred to the intensive care unit.
When he was released on Sunday, he had to leave intensively a few days earlier.
