A large police operation was under way in the vicinity of Borås after a young man was found shot.
The 16-year-old was shot with a shotgun while seeking help in the Frufällan residential area.
The boy shortly before was forced to undress, was shot and then fled by jumping into the waters of Öresjön, according to information from Aftonbladet.
Now the police are asking for the public’s help in finding the perpetrators.
Police were alerted to the 16-year-old shot at 12:31 on Friday. He had then succeeded in seeking help and sounding the alarm with the help of residents of the Frufällan area in North Borås.
– We received several calls from the general public who heard gunshots. Then a young man with gunshot wounds was found, a school-age boy. He has been taken to hospital and is being treated for serious injuries, but at the moment they are not endangering his life, Thomas Fuxborg, a press spokesman for the West Region police, told Aftonbladet yesterday.

He managed to seek help and sound the alarm with the help of residents in the Frufällan area of North Borås.
In the afternoon, it emerged that the 16-year-old had been shot in Vikåsaudden, a few hundred meters from where he was found wounded.
According to information from Aftonbladet, the 16-year-old was on the promontory next to Lake Öresjön along with two other men. At the scene, the 16-year-old is said to have been forced to dress and then shot with a shotgun.
The boy must have been hit in the upper body, but the hail must have bypassed vital parts of the body, according to information from Aftonbladet.
Therefore, the 16-year-old must have also been able to escape from his perpetrators, jumping into the lake and swimming from there during the bombings.
One of the alleged perpetrators, a man in his 25s, has previously been convicted of, among other things, several drug-related crime cases.
On Saturday, Stefan Gustafsson, a spokesman for the police in the West Region, said that no one was yet detained as a suspect in the case.
-There is nothing to add in the case other than what came out yesterday, he says.
On Saturday, the police went to their website and asked the public for help in finding the perpetrators:
“However, the police are interested in witness statements from the crime scene at the time of the crime.”
Tips can be given to the police at 114 14.
