The armed robbers broke into the couple’s home and forced them to take $ 1 million in bitcoins, according to information from Aftonbladet.
Police suspected two men running, and were able to arrest a league.

On Thursday night last week, one of the police radio cars was routinely passing a residential area in northern Stockholm County when they saw two people fleeing their homes.

– It is a serious theft and as almost always in this type of crime, what you are looking for is money, jewelry, watches or other valuable equipment. He was inside the house for 20 to 30 minutes.
Several sources tell Aftonbladet that the armed robbers, two men and a woman, after deceiving the couple forced them to transfer the cryptocurrency bitcoin to one million. Per Åkermark does not want to go into what the thieves found for the loot, but confirms that the suspects misled the plaintiffs.

Two of the three perpetrators are now in restricted custody, while the third, the woman, was released. The two men arrested are 20 years old.
Are the three suspects still?
– The third was released but we continue investigating. There may be additional suspects, there may be people who planned or organized this in addition to those who carried it out.

– It’s not uncommon. You shouldn’t worry like an ordinary person, but it has happened before and it happens at regular intervals.

– We had a similar event in Djursholm a few years ago, exclusive keys and cars were seized. They may understand that there are objects with high values. In some cases, criminals may seek out other criminals to settle debt, but it may also be the case that you know that the plaintiff has posted an expensive item on a sales or similar site.
“They do whatever it takes”
Lotta Mauritzon is a Crime Prevention Officer at the National Police Fraud Center within Noa, the National Operations Department. Bitcoin-related crimes are becoming more common, he says, saying that it is difficult to access someone else’s virtual currencies.
– You must have login information to enter a virtual wallet where bitcoins and other currencies can be located. If someone else wants to access it, I think they will do whatever it takes.
She does not know about the current case, but says it seems likely that the perpetrators knew beforehand that the plaintiffs had bitcoins in their possession.
