Several attempts have been made to catch the dog believed to have been running around the area for at least two weeks. However, the dog is very shy.
It is not yet clear who the owner is, but according to information from NSD, it may be foreign hunters who left the dog and left.
Grilled chicken should save the dog
Now a cage has been installed in Ritsem and the interest of the public is great. Johanna Granström Sundgren from Vuollerim has been unofficially given the role of rescue coordinator.
– Today I went up to Ritsem to do a little follow-up, we loaded the cage with grilled chicken and then we did a trail of canned cat food that leads to it, she tells NSD.
Now it only remains to wait for the dog to enter the cage.
Granström also has contact with Marie Tarin in the county administrative board’s animal welfare unit, who will take over if they manage to catch the dog.
– It is not allowed under the Animal Welfare Law to abandon animals in this way, but what measures could be we will see later. First, the capture must be successful, says Tarin.
