The abandoned bird dog has created a huge engagement on social media.
Johanna Granström Sundgren from Vuollerim saw the dog last Friday and has been involved in the case.

– The dog has been seen in the area for at least two weeks. I was told that an abandoned setter ran up the mountain when we arrived in Ritsem to hunt grouse last Friday. We also saw him twice, but he’s very shy, says Johanna Granström Sundgren to Svensk Jakt.
– On Monday, the county administrative board that assisted with the permit was contacted to try to catch the dog. The Facebook group was started in order to get organized as quickly as possible upon finding a cage trap. The dog was last seen the same day the cage was installed, but has not yet dared to return to the dining room. Back then he was still in relatively good shape, tufted and shy but fast, Johanna continues.
Many are engaged
She says there are many who want to help find the dog.
Johanna has contacted the county administrative board’s animal welfare unit, which takes over if she manages to catch the dog.
– Then we can decide to take care of the dog and we will do what we can to find the owner. But it is a bit difficult if it is a foreign person, as the report says, tells NSD Marie Tarin from the county administrative board.
