A man has been found dead in a burning village in Söderhamn, police announced.
Police first suspected arson because they do not know what caused the fire, but soon after decided to investigate the fire as general negligence.
The alarm went off at 7 a.m. Sunday and the fire was under control an hour later. There is no risk of spread and the rescue service will let the villa burn down.
– The fire was fully developed when we arrived. Flames erupted through the front door, Per-Ove Johansson, operations manager for the Söderhamn rescue service, tells SVT Nyheter Gävleborg.
