With less than two weeks to go until the US presidential election, attention has once again turned to the business of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, in Ukraine. The New York Post published an email from 2015 in which a Ukrainian businessman thanks Hunter Biden for arranging a meeting with Joe Biden.
Joe Biden has previously been accused of pressuring Ukraine to replace a prosecutor who investigated a company his son worked for between 2014 and 2019. Joe Biden was then vice president.
Joe Biden has denied that he had anything to do with his son’s business in Ukraine and the New York Post does not present any evidence that the meeting actually took place.
The information comes from Giuliani
The origin of the information has also been questioned. They come from a hard drive copy said to have belonged to Hunter Biden and ended up with former New York mayor and Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani, in turn, delivered them to the New York Post.
Elder Biden’s reelection campaign has accused the post of being part of Russia’s campaign to influence the U.S. presidential election, but it has also not denied that the email is genuine.
– It was Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani who shared the computer with the New York Post and was therefore questioned.
