Biden on friend: “It’s a personal disappointment”

It was when Joe Biden was interviewed by talk show host Stephen Colbert that he told him how disappointed he was with the South Carolina senator. They became friends when they served in the Senate before Biden became Barack Obama’s vice president.

“He is the kindest person I have ever met in politics,” Lindsey Graham told the Huffington Post of Biden in 2015, continuing:

– If you can’t admire Joe Biden as a human being, you have a problem. So you need to take a closer look at yourself because what is there that you don’t like? Biden is the best man God ever created.

He called Trump “racist, xenophobic and” narrow-minded “

All that changed after the presidential election four years ago. Lindsey Graham called Donald Trump a “racist, xenophobic, and narrow-minded” during the Republican primaries in 2016. But when Trump won the presidential election, there was a different sound to the South Carolina senator’s bark. For the past four years, he has been one of the Trump administration’s most outspoken advocates and allies.

After the death of HD Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Biden demanded that the vacuum on the Supreme Court not be filled until after the election. Graham later said he supported Trump’s decision to immediately nominate Amy Coney Barrett.

After the election, Graham long refused to recognize Biden as the winner.

“President Trump should not admit defeat in the election,” Graham said.

It was only after the Electors College on Monday, when it became formally clear that Biden would be the next president of the United States, that Graham, along with several other big Republican names, accepted Biden as the winner of the election.
