Italy’s former prime minister, media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, was rushed to a hospital in Monaco after suffering a heart problem, his personal physician Alberto Zangrilllo told Reuters on Thursday.
The doctor claims it was on Monday that he examined Berlusconi, who is in the small kingdom of Monaco, and claimed that the former prime minister needed emergency hospital care for heart problems.
He has been crown sick and has undergone extensive heart surgery.
Given that Italy is a mile and a half from the kingdom, Zangrillo decided that Berusconi should be transferred to a local hospital for treatment.
In September, Berlusconi fell ill with a corona and was hospitalized. After being discharged, he described the disease as “the most dangerous challenge” in his life so far.
In 2016, the founder of the right-wing populist party Forza Italia underwent extensive heart surgery.
