The message from Polarbröd Group Director Karin Bodin at a meeting Monday morning also means that Benny Lindström’s 25-year-old daughter Alexandra and her boyfriend Jonatan Holmqvist have been notified of the dismissal.

Benny Lindström’s wife, Ylva, also works in Polarbröd, but avoided being notified because she works in the administrative sector.

– It’s not a pity for me, but I suffer with many others, some of whom have worked at Polarbröd since the 1990s. I also suffer with my daughter who worked there for 1.5 years, who bought a house and settled down, says Benny Lindström.

He’s a mechanic in Polarbröd and has a reputation for being able to repair most things on a broken machinery road. Previously, he was a supervisor for 16 years and worked in rebuilding, packing, and pipeline.

– I’ve worked in all departments except the freezer and the office, he says.

You have found employment in Polarbröd safe. While other businesses in the area have been affected by the recessions, the bakery has only continued to produce. The reassuring conclusion has been that even in difficult times, people need bread.

– This could not be predicted. I don’t know what is happening now. No one has been fired yet, so I assume there will be union negotiations on which employees are needed, says Benny Lindström.
